Weekly 3

Today we did Weekly 3. It is a maths slide wuth three different tasks. Prototec, Number of the day and Eako. I liked prototec, I went to the highest stage and got 38/40 or 95%. Numer of the day was also esay because I'm smart so I got that done in a flash. Something I found hard was Eako. I tried Exporing Ratios. It was tricky because I've never done Ratios before. Maths, Fraction, Fraction street

Recently in our class we did a fraction avenue and now we made our own. I named mine Koda's mansion street. The only rules were 10 houses or more and 6 fractional rules. Here is mine:

How to find a fraction of a whole number? FRACTIONS!!

Today I will be teaching you a little bit about fractions. What you will be learning is how to find a fraction of a whole number. The most important thing is to divide the bottom and times the top and if you don't know what the means it okay because it will be explained in the video. There is a clip below below show 2 different equations, 4/6 of 36 and 6/7 of 56. But anyways I hope you enjoy and I hope you learn something 😀😀.

Polygons

Today and yesterday we learnt about polygons. I learnt that polygons have no gaps and no curves. Shapes I know that are polygons are triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, heptagons, octagons, nonagons and decagons. I have created my own polygons. One is a person holding a sign and a dog and my other one is a polygon mansion.

The deca/penta tree

This is the deca tree promblem this is how it works. On a a deca tree One day a wood cutter came down and cut one trunk, one branch, one twig and one leave. How many leaves were left on the tree? You will see my working and then you will see my drawing of a penta tree. A penta tree is the same as a deca tree, except there is five trunks, on each trunk there are five branches,on each branch there are five twigs, on each twig there are five leaves. the strategie I used was subtraction  Here is my working: If this work is too small for you it says deca tree has ten thousand leaves, one thousand twigs one hundred branches and ten trunks. One trunks takes away ten branches = ninety branches, one hundred twigs = nine hundred and one thousand leaves = nine thousand. On branch takes away one branch = eighty nine twigs = eight hundred and ninety and one hundred leaves = eight thousand nine hundred. One twig takes away one twig = eight hundred and eighty nine and ten leaves = eight thousand eight hundred and ninety. One leave takes away one leave = eight thousand eight hundred and eighty nine ANSWER 8889 This is the penta tree

Place Value

In maths, we are learning place value, I 

know 463 has 4 hundreds or 46 tens or 463 ones, 463 is also the same as 400 + 60 + 3.

Bar graphs

In maths, we have been learning about bar graph.

Data is collecting stuff off other people

To collect data, we  need  to ask other people what's their favorite out of that group.

When we have the data, we make a bar graph.

We know that a graph needs to have a couple sentences about collecting the data.

We have been learning bar graphs.We had to get data from classes by saying how many students do you have in your class, I went to room 9. Room six had the most students they had thirty one students, room 12 had the least amount of students they only had 12.
