Something bad happend

Since we got back from lockdown we started a project. First we watched a 40 minute long video of a lady reading us a book. It was 9 chapters long and we read 2 or 3 chapters every day. Then we rewatched the whole thing as our teacher took notes on paper. Then he transfered the notes to a document and shared it to the class. Then we wrote a book as if we were giving it to a five year old. Finally we added bitmojis to fit what we were saying. I hope you enjoy and here is mine:

Lockdown letter

We were asked by Red Cross to write a letter to an elderly from a rest home. We told them how our lockdown went and asked questions about theirs. Here is mine:

Hi, I'm Koda. I'm a year 7 student at Kawakawa Primary School. I like Kapa Haka, Soccer and playing the guitar. My favourite foods are pizza and tacos.

What is your favourite sport, food or downtime activity? In lockdown I learnt how to make pikelets and not to touch the pan while they cooked and I missed my friends. What was your favourite part about lockdown and what was an exciting part of lockdown that wouldn't have happened if lockdown didn't happen?

I hope the rest of your week is great and I hope you're having a great time and staying safe. Yours sincerely Koda

6 dice

Recently we have learnt a game. Its a game of risk and luck and it can teach you about probability. Whats my chances of getting a 1 or 5? Should I risk it? It is fun and very addictive and I've made a slide to teach you so you can play too! Enjoy (: Skip to the end if you only want one slide of rules.

Beach education

On Tuesday the 25th of February we were lucky enough to go to Ruakaka Beach. We had two lifeguards teaching us. Their names were Sophia and Stella. They taught lots of cool stuff like games and safety. Check out my slide down below.
